Hi,
I had been looking for the perfect DVD player for 6 months now. I tested so many of them that I always use to find some thing I did not like about it. Then I read about articles of Philips DVD 625 on mouthshut.com and finally decided to test it out.
Before actually making the visit to the store, I checked out philips.com for what they had to offer in the DVD player category. Upon comparing DVD 727K with the rest, I came to the conclusion, that this model was the best of the lot as it had support for DTS decoding, which I needed as I intend having my home theatre system in a month or so.
So keeping all the features in mind, I headed to the store with all my CD collection. I carried various brands of CD-R's having my MP3s, VCD's, ACD, DVD's, JPEG image CD's as I wanted to really test its capability. And Yes! It read everything!!
I made the purchase the same day. The original price was 15500/-, but they were having a discount for this product as it was just launched. This was on 5th Feb, 2004. I made a deal for 8700/-.
I use the player everyday and it plays music for more than 10 hours continuously. The DVD video quality is good and so is the JPEG image clarity.
I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a good investment in a DVD Player.
Hope to see your comment on this product soon.
