Purchased this tv from chennai vela cherry sharptronics. Less than 2 months and tv stopped working. We only get white Philips text on the tv and it never responds to the remote. The shop guy asked to contact Philips care. Pathetic service. The support guy cannot even speak proper English. Booked complaint on Friday (7-Jun-2014). No response till today (10-Jun). The technician came and checked to tell us that the motherboard has failed. It needs to be replaced. We felt very bad and cheated as its a new TV. He also said the motherboard replacement would take 10 days. Very disappointed. We asked for a replacement of the TV as only a defective piece would need motherboard replacement in less than 2 months. They did not accept and they also did not bother to deliver the mother board replacement quickly. Why should I wait for 10 days after having purchased a new HD LED TV with the dream of watching it every day?
Never go for Philips in India. Go for other brands like Samsung or LG. The customer care of Samsung is very good unlike Philips and they even attend complaints on Sundays. Really regret having made this purchase of defective Philips TV a. Very very dejected and sad. One of the worst TV companies in India.
