We bought Philips 22PFL4556 LED few years ago to install it at our another flat in Kolkata. We bought this model during Diwali time. But, after few months of use.
The TV started losing its natural screen resolution due to which we could hardly make out the difference in clarity between standard mode, movie mode and dynamic mode.
Even the sound system was not up to the mark because there was hardly any difference in sound features of music mode, movie mode, standard mode and dynamic mode.
Though it was a 22 inch LCD model with 2 speakers of 35 watts but volume consistency and clarity is quite weak in comparison to other models like Samsung, Sony, Philips, etc. It has 100 channels with auto off, auto sound leveller and OSD which are its features but they acted as a major drawback of this LED TV model because it is programmed at certain parameters in terms of volume and screen and therefore, it is incapable to adjust other modes according to your needs.
Also, when you change the picture mode and sound mode according to your need, then it do save you r mode and you have to arrange it again and again whenever you switch on your TV which is really irritating. Another major drawback considering today’s technology features is that this TV has a response time of five minutes which is quite long in comparison to other brands.
But let me inform you that after certain months, this TV took more than 5 minutes to response. Last but not the least, don’t expect easily after sales service because you need to call and make request number of times. Also, because of not so popular brand in India now, the after sales service standard is below par. Hence, I will not recommend to go for this TV, especially this brand of Philips. You do not repeat the mistake which I did.
