IIlusion/ Patriot/Avenger– I wish we had a PHANTOM. Review on Phantom

?Phantom, like its name is a movie from different genre. Very rarely made in Bollywood and very few actors to carry on such scripts. And I usually think twice before watching such movies as sometime such movies can go horribly wrong -

Agent Vinod is one example. What pushed me to theatre was so called promotional strategy of "bringing justice to Mumbai Attacks". This was first time that some Hindi movie was going to take revenge in PAKISTAN. Hence I decided to watch it on Friday(first day). Story is the star of the movie and has been well written It is comparable to any

MI or Bond movies(Weopans Mafia, America,  Secret Agents, Pakistan, Revenge, All Qaeda and so on) . Only we don't have those extra ordinary flying, skiing, climbing high rises scenes, other than that a decent story. If I compare this with last movie of this genre which I really loved(BABY), story has some flaws but nevertheless this director has a different style of storytelling.

I think editing could have been better, for once I felt lost while watching the movie and was thinking did I miss something and small things here and there(I don’t believe in sharing the story, hence I cannot share the scenes).Director has done a decent job and so is the music, I liked songs and background it has that rustic feeling and not very happy go lucky types Man on mission, Saif Ali Khan has done a good work and so has Ms Kaif(She is like wine, becoming better actress with every year, no comments about her beauty, she is too beautiful to be compared to any one in Bollywood at present). In fact I am very sure we have very few actors in Bollywood who could have delivered this role better than Saif, he comes  with a class and an attitude which is very difficult to carry. I remember reading somewhere that such movies are not easy to make as commercially they are not always successful, I agree and I am little worried for our Phantom, but at the same time we have viewers who appreciate such cinema .So folks please watch this movie. Much much better than so many 100 Cr+ movies .  This deserves a tax free status . JAI HIND!
