Petrol vs Diesel? What about gas?
Jun 25, 2006 01:30 AM 10828 Views

Hey guys

Feels great reading these Petrol vs Diesel reviews. Thanks a lot!

I'm a biker trying to decide whether to go for a petrol or diesel car. I'm sure my first car is going to be a second hand one because of the budget. I was almost fixed on a second-hand Indica diesel, but now that I have read these reviews I think I should consider a petrol based Maruti before doing that.

BTW, I purchased a new Hero Honda Passion Plus thinking about mileage alone. One year after buying it, I LOVE the bike and its fuel efficiency(70+ in the center of the city), but I'm wondering if I made the right decision. Sometimes thinking about the braking, maneuvrability, overtaking etc, I wonder if I should have gone for something 2-stroke, maybe even a secondhand Yezdi roadking.

I don't want to make the same mistake while buying a car: thinking about only mileage. After all, I am going to take mummy for a ride now and then, so comfort is* important.

After all, when I want mileage, I can forget the car and use my Passion Plus:-)

P.S: Any idea about the fuel economy of the 100% legal gas car? Its safety? I mean, if a lorry bumps into the back of my car from behind, that may not be lethal in a petrol or diesel car, but couldn't that cause the gas to explode(even the 100% legal one - even that is just a compressed gas cylinder isn't it?)

Please don't forget to tell me what's right and what's wrong in this article!

[I can't really call it a review:-) ]
