After a lot of analysis over the internet, I finally booked Peter's park for our trip to Yelagiri. We started off from Chennai morning 7 on a Saturday. I had initially made the booking by paying an advance
amount through net transfer after calling up Mr. Peter. Once we reached yelagiri, it is very easy to find the place as they have placed a direction board every 200 mts once you reach yelagiri. The final road(2 mins drive) is a bit narrow but vehicles(including buses and mini vans) can easily go. The first impression about the resort itself is outstanding!!! a beautiful cottage with a lovely lawn!!! We had an excellent lunch buffet - veg + non veg combination. The food looks like completely home made!!! There are just a few places - botanical garden, musical fountain, lake(boating) nearby to the resort where in you can spend the afternoon till evening!!! After evening it becomes cold outside!! this is the time wherein you can spend in the lawn.
Chairs are arranged.. NiceĀ evening snacks and coffee are provided and you can also have snacks ordered at extra cost!!! The dinner buffet is equally good which is served outside in the lawn itself!!! Finally comes the campfire which will really give you a warm feel in the cold night!!! People going in groups form Company/College can have a wonderful time. They arrange music systems and all such needs!!! Next day early morning around 5-6 you can go for trekking to the swami malai. it is about a 5 Kms walk and suitable for youngsters!!! Again a extraordinary breakfast buffet makes you full satisfied!!! Throughout the stay, you can always reach to Mr. Peter for any queries and he will help you out readily!!! All the staffs are too friendly and it will look like a salty at your home!!! I should say it was one of the best trips!!! Now the cost.
They charged us around Rs 3500 + 12% tax for 2 bedrooms in a single cottage. We were 4 of us - 2 couples. For food they charge 450 per head ( all meals combined) which is really worth!!!
