We went to Persian Darbar for dinner with a large bunch of friends. The interiors were dark and congested. The non-vegetarians in the group enjoyed themselves. The vegetarians had limited choice. And when the Jain friend asked for Jain food the waiter said 'Duh?'
Poor girl. All she could eat during the entire meal was a plate of assorted ice cream. The meat eaters among us didnt like the ambience and if you have a group with mixed food preferences, the choices can be very restricted. Also the smoky aromas of meat being served at nearby tables made our vegetarian friends a bit sick.
