Perfect Stranger Scripted along the lines of a murder mystery flick, Revolution Studios Perfect Stranger is a sexy suspense packed thriller.

An intriguing and engaging package delivered by the directorial work of James Foley. Halle Berry portrays a character of an investigative reporter, Rowena Price. She has perfected the art of putting on fake identities and pulling it off successfully in the pursuit of uncovering and exposing the suspected targets.

The movie kicks off with Caroline Elbridge(Halle Berry) uncovering a sensational news of the dark hidden secrets of Senator Sachs, with the help of her tech-savvy and gadget-junkie friend Miles Haley, played to precision by Giovanni Ribisi. However power rules and the news are scrapped off by the editorial. Pissed off by this, Rowena decides to quit on the agency.

Grace Clayton(Nicki Aycox), her childhood friend asks for Rowena's help to expose the sexual affair between her and an advertisement agency tycoon, Mr. Harrison Hill, portrayed by Bruce Willis.

Harisson Hill has the biggest advertising agency in New York with an appetite for power and weakness for women. Few days later, she finds her friend Grace Murdered brutally. Perturbed by this Rowena decides to expose her prime suspect Harrison Hill, again her friend Miles Haley for the technological assistance she is to need in her pursuits.

Rowena Price manages to herself to get a job of a temp at Hill's advertising agency. Rowena poses as Catherine Pogue at Hills agency and continues her investigations. Rowena along with her friend Miles somehow gains access to Grace's email and finds out that Grace had threatened Hill to expose their extra-marital sexual relation to Hill's wife, Mia Hill(Paula Miranda).

Rowena in her undercover identity as Catherine comes across several surprising facts which are radically related to her own life. Some disbelieving facts and secrets about her boyfriend Cameron(Gary Dourdan), her friend Miles and her childhood friend Grace Strikes Rowena in the process. Rowena, tries to gain access to Hill's computer, his hidden secrets and some clues. She tries all the ways. She sneaks into his office; she inquires her colleagues, and holds no step back to go to the extent of seducing him with the voluptuous hot body of hers.

She looks just amazing in a dating scene with Hill adorning a red dress. Also adding to the dud glamour is the long legged Amazonian personal assistant to Hill. The role of her has little to do than to just while around on the sets.

Another insignificant scene shows Rowena’s visit to her ailing mother in some rehabilitation centre in New York. The mainstay and the gripping part of the movie is the exploration of Hill's secrets, breaking in with some shuddering facts and secrets, some masterly plots and shrewd plays by Rowena, posing as Catherine Pogue. Catherine is not the only character Rowena poses as, she also dives in to fake an identity as Veronica alias Rocket girl on the internet. Miles and Rowena spend hours online trying to hook Adex. She fishes Hill, who poses as Adex online, into the Chat network and tries to trap him in the web net.

A short flash up scene shows Miles posing up as Adex and hooking on Rowena. Was that just a game or a poke? Or is there something really concerning in the context of the plot? Rowena engulfs her prey with a series of fake identities surrounding Hill from all sides, a masterly net spun around the advertising tycoon and some chat conversations with the marvels of the technological inputs from her friend Miles. Rowena dates Hill, which does not escape the spying eyes of Mia Hill, Harrison’s wife.

Also when everything seems to be perfectly fine, Rowena discovers something disturbing and suspicious about her friend and investigating accomplice Miles Haley.

The surprising twist offers many more questions and the complexities. The postmortem reports reveal the facts about the death of her friend Grace, Belladona Poisoning and a brutal assault. The report also confirms that Grace was pregnant and in her first trimester. The web spun around tycoon grew stronger.

The court trial, the evidences, the verdicts, the Judgment, all happening in a flash, but the viewer is engaged throughout and kept entertained. The movie is further spiced up with some nightmarish dreams Rowena keeps on getting about her childhood. Some horrific childhood incident keeps her haunting in dreams.

What is that? How does that relate in the context of the movie? The script of the story is based one a story by Jon Bokenkamp under the banner of Elaine Goldsmith Thomas productions. The screen play delivered by Todd Komarnicki is decent enough, so is the music directed by Antonio Pinto. The stuff put in by Halle Berry is sort of OK, but Bruce Willis and Giovanni Ribisi tie up the loose ends.

Does the court arrive at a right decision? Does Rowena get justice to her friend? What facts relating to Miles and her boyfriend Cameron come forth to strike Rowena? How are they related to Grace? Who is the real murderer? What does the nightmare has to do with the plot of the movie? Does it really connect with the movie? What Miles has to do with the plot? Just as a assistance to Rowena or something more relegating to the climax of the movie. Who is the Killer? The viewer as always when engaged in a murder mystery in turn scans all the characters portrayed in the flick. With all the possible permutations and combinations one works out and tries to guess the culprit, tries to foil the plot. But let me tell you, this flick isn’t as easy to guess?

The movie is surely worth watching for all the masala and suspense it has to offer. The brutality of the murder, the curves of Halle, the sex and the lies, the twists n turns; everything keeps the audience enthralled all through.

Surely, A must see.
