I ordered computer table as pepperfry has more variety of products at reasonable price and discounts. All went well till delivery, though the product was delivered little late. The carpenter from pepperfry assembled the product and said 'One door is missing'. Why should they assemble when the product is not fully available.
The carpenter connected to customer care and they said they will send the missing part in a week's time. Again a frustrating week of waiting and followup. Now after 2 weeks, when I spoke to customer care, they say I can return the product and get a refund as the door is not available. They have delivered an incomplete product. Now to request refund, it is again a lengthy process of scheduling carpenter and packing the product, following up with courier service, ensuring it reaches pepper fry, and then finally get a refund and then make another order. My question:
Why should the carpenter assemble when it is incomplete?
Why should they say the missing part will reach you?
Do they not know when they send a product that it is incomplete?
Can't they atleast inform the customer that they have no plans of sending the missing part?
People who order online I suggest, if you can wait indefinitely and spend more time following up with customer care, order online. Don't be in a hurry to place order, how attractive the product is listed.
