Be aware of pepperfry.com. Review on Pepperfry

I am writing this review with lot of anguish and frustration that this online platform is making money by selling its product and they want to attract customers by various means .

I report here a bad experience with this company for sake of future customers:

That we went to pepperfry.com studio(located in Koregaon park, Pune) and after seeing product a TV cabinet was ordered couple of days ago.Even my wife paid the amount(as the store keeper told product will be supplied)through cheque and to our surprise the money also got debited from my account but the product did not reach us so I felt alarmed and contacted the customer care(spoke to person named Mr Kartik)

The customer care person told that the product is not sold in studio and when I pointed out the fact that why its store(with person working there) does give false information and take also cheque payment(and why this is not mentioned in the website that no customer should pay money and that the products are not available in its studio, which they have opened in various cities)

Now pepperfry customer care puts the blame on customer that why the product is not bought online? when I said that it's responsibility of pepperfry to see that the wrong doer is punished and my money is refunded( they did not have any answer) this is disturbing.

I feel our Govt does not have strict rules to punish such unethical companies who try to get customer attention by various advertisement but cut sorry figure when time of delivery of its services are comes.

Every one needs to earn profit but the companies must have accountability towards its customers.
