As stated by other customers there is a bit lag time between the order and delivery time from Pepperfry. Many time for high value items once can understand in furniture business and can tolerate the same. But as I told, there is a bit of lag time in between order placed and delivery time, there is a quite a big time gap between the order date and delivery initiation. Definitely I can understand as an eCommerce site, lot of drop ship orders are taking place, so release orders are also then sent to them and hence the delay.
However, when a customer makes a mistake in selecting the product or have not seen the delivery time and realize the same after the order is placed, the eCommerce site should be ready to take cancel order request. I was stunned when I tried to do and simple answer was no way the order can be cancelled even though I called in 10 minutes time. Then I said what if I refuse to take delivery, then will you refund the money. The answer was'No'. In this situation, I dont think one should be transacting in these type of eCommerce sites. Thats the reason I like Amazon site,
