I wanted to quickly review  this book that I read and is one of the must read books for any well informed health geek.

This book will not replace the need to go to physician but will provide handy information which the physician may not provide .

I feel so empowered with this book as it not only keeps me well informed but also helps to make wise health decisions when it comes to medical and alternate treatment options .

Joe graedon is active in medical industry and has been teaching, broadcasting, and writing information for people to make right decisions about their health. In this book it is put with painstaking detail the home remedies like herbs, supplements, foods that can ease symptoms of common illness.

Also the way the book describes the application and the recipe of the herbs is something anybody with basic understanding of english and general herbs as a whole would be able to benefit. It does focus on the herbs available in mainly in usa, australia .Even the other book by people pharmacy " top screwups docters make " is a another nice read.

Even the "ayurvedic medicines " book by ayurved rasashala is in similar lines but People's pharmacy guide is more scientific in its approach and also has a huge focus on adverse effects of drugs and the side effects .It also has a section where you would find information which is yet to be approved by F.D.A.Overall a great wealth of information which can use on everyday basis .
