PAYTM CHEATED ME not Once BUT 3 TIMES
Please think many times before buying from paytm.
I purchased through paytm as per following details and was cheated again and again.
The first time paytm cheated, I considered that it could have been a mistake or a chance, BUT PAYTM CHEATED for the SECOND AND THIRD TIME ALSO
The details of cheat are as follows
I ordered car 3D foot mats for Tata Manza car. It is worthy to mention that 3D mats are different from normal footmats as the 3 Dimensional shape is specific for each and every car. I received the parcel from paytm within stipulated time, But when I opened the package, I found that the 3D mats were for Maruti Swift car. At first I thought tha it was a mistake, BUT then I found that it was done purposely. Each 3D mat of the set has a small tag attached which mentions the make of the car. THIS identification TAG was TORN on 4 mats. One small sized mat which was in between other mats SOMEHOW Escaped unnoticed and IT HAD A TAG MENTIONING SWIFT(images attached Fig 1 and 2). I complained this to paytm and they flatly replied that REPLACEMENT IS NOT POSSIBLE ON ANY ITEM PURCHASED THROUGH PAYTM. They said that I can return the item. HOWEVER, it was difficult for me to repack as the mats were bulky and RETURN PICK was not available thru paytm. I therefore could not return and decided to keep the mats even if they do not fit perfectly in the car.
Second time, I purchased LED WHITE LIGHTS for car. Again paytm sent the product which was wrong. The LED lights sent to me were of BLUE colour. I again complained to paytm and they again replied that REPLACEMENT IS NOT POSSIBLE ON PAYTM. This time since the product was small, I decided to RETURN the product to paytm, and when I asked paytm to return, they CLEVERLY offered me a cashback of Rs 50 if I do not return and keep the wrong product.
I then complained to paytm that for 2nd order when I wanted to return, paytm offered me a cashback of Rs 50 on a product worth Rs 195, However, when for the 1st order, could not return due to repacking/return pick reasons, paytm DID nOT OFFER any cashback on a product worth Rs 1500. HAD I cleverly told paytm that I want to return the item(although in reality it was not possible due to above reasons), I would have been offered a cashback to accept the wrong product. To this the reply recieved from Mr Ayoub on behalf of paytm wsa that the Rs 50 cashback offered was for both orders.
Such practices by paytm are unethical and nowhere as per norms followed by online websites as ebay etc.
The experience with paytm was as if I was haggling and bargaining with a roadside vendor.
PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH PAYTM AS THERE ARE MANY OTHER ONLINE SHOPPING SITES WHICH ARE MUCH MUCH RELIABLE IN TERMS OF PRODUCT DESCRIPTION, DELIVERY, PRICE, AND ABILITY TO SOLVE ISSUES.
FURTHER, the item details mentioned on paytm website are very very brief. AND there is NO OPTION to ask about more details, if required, before purchase.
There is NO OPTION for Replacement of a defective/Wrong Item sent
The customer support of paytm is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Even if an issue is reported about an item being defective OR product Not as decribed, PAYTM KEEPS ON SELLING THE SAME ITEM WITHOUT ANY CORRECTION OR MODIFICATION
BEWARE.TRANSACT AT PAYTM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
