Review....
1]Movie start with a song ''Kyon Hawa'' in sweet voice of Sonu.This song is picturized beautifully.SRK walks in the beautiful valley of flowers & looks fresh & sweet.At the end of the song SRK & Priti try to hug each other & suddenly priti collapses before she could hug SRK...(I cann't understand why she collapses)
2]Suddenly SRK is shown in a prison waking up from a dream in which he dreams above song.
3]SRK is behind the bars for last 22 years.Why?Read further.......
4]Now,Entry of Rani who is shown in crematory praying near her father's tomb/grave for best wishes to her first case which she is about to take.Rani is humanrighs lawyer who takes up Veer's case to rescue him.
5]Rani meets Veer for the same reason but Veer refuses to speak..but when Rani calls him in his real name Veer Pratap Singh then SRK just surprises bcoz he wasn't called by this name for last 22 years bcoz his identity was changed for some reasons & was put behind the bars under fake name....
6]Now...Veer starts narrating his life.....
Flashback
1] Veer:- is sq.leader who always risks his life for saving others.....for him saving others life is the only mission....
2] Zaara:-Daughter of pakistani politician(Bomi Irani) is a carefree girl.She enters on big screen with ''Hum To Bhai'' song.......funny song.....
After some day pass her Grandma passes away & zaara decides to come to India to immerse her ashes in Kirtipur bcoz of Gramdma's last wish.
3]During this visit her bus collapses in valley & Veer rescues Zaara from the same accident.
4]Meanwhile Veer helps her to complete her wish....& asks her if she could visit her village he would be more than happy...Zaara accepts it.....
5]Aisa Des hai mera is the next song now....This is very good song & is quite enjoyable as it has Gurudas Mann in it.........
6]Now entry of Amitabh & hema(Veer's foster parents)...this is the most enjoyable part of the movie...both have given their best...infact I was wondering ,had both been made lead actors the movie would have been even touching........
7]BigB is a reputed person,he has given all his life to his village.But when Zaara asks him.... 'you have done everything for ur village but educating the girls.'This touches BigB at heart & decides to build a school for girls & praises & salutes Zaara for her cultures & customs,traditions........
7]Now,Lodi song...this is enjoyable song..very well directed....don't visit toilets during this song otherwise you are missing something big........
8]Now,Zaara's visit is over & both V&Z leave for station to catch the train....Now. entry of Manoj bajpai......bajpai is already waiting there for zaara's arrival & he meets both V & Z...& Veer gets a severe shock coming to know Manoj is zarra's fiance.......& hence immedietly the song ''Do Pal''.......excellent song.....
9]Zaara in pakistan....During sugarbox ceremony zaara dreams veer singing Main yahha hoo song for her........
10]Veer comes to pakistan as zaara's friend calls/phoes him that zaara too loves him.........
11]Now......Qawaali song........during this song Veer meets Zaara & proposes her infront of zarra's whole family....Bajpayee watches this....meets veer & asks veer how can I(Manoj) live with a girl who completely belongs to another man.....& convinces veer that he(Manoj) wants to marry her only bcoz of some political reasons & cann't tolerate veer being around zaara whole time.............& puts him behind the bars giving him a fake identity................For the world ,Veer is now as good as a dead man.......
12]Flash back ends.......
13]Rani takes the case to court where her counterpart is Anupam kher(who has never lost a case till the date)...A lawyer under whom Rani had worked before...but gives up her job coz she thinks Anupam is workshy in attitude...he takes the cases only to win them & doesn't think of emotions & truth behind the cases.......
14] InCourt:-
First day...........
Anupam wins the first day as all the witnesses are with him.........Anupam convince the judge that the offender(Veer) is a spy & had worked for RAW......The judge adjourns the case to next week........
Meanwhile...Rani meets SRK & tells SRK that it's now difficult for her to win the case without mentioning the love story of V&Z to the court/judge.....but Veer says no to that.....bcoz he thinks zaara is settled in her life & don't want to put her in trouble....
Rani comes back with Bang!.....
Meanwhile Rani decides to meet Veer's parents & comes to India....but sadly she comes to know that they are already passed away...But she still visits their home....She finds little girls playing in the surroundings....she turns back to leave the place but..Suddenly someone shouts name ''Zaara'' & Rani turns bacj again to see who the person is...& she finds Zaara in the same..this truly a great scene should witness on the Big screen.......Zarra tells Rani her reason for being in India....Zaara says ,''I thought Veer was dead & hence I am here to fulfil the dream of veer's parent to build a school for girls & for the same I had to leave my country as well as Manoj Bajpayee........''...truly touching scene.......
Next hearing in the court
Rani comes back with Zaara & the whole court amazes seeing Zaara...SRK's stunning face expressions are mindblowing....isn't it a timing for great song?...& hence the great song ''tere Liye''.....watch it on screen....but I honestly feel Yashji has failed to capture the greatness of this song..it is such agreat song that it should have been put up on the screen with great effort....but still touching number.....Court Releases Veer & apologises for being so rude with him for 22 years.......Veer-Zaara returns to India.....touching song aisa des hai mear in slow version.....& The End.........
Sound Track...Some how I feel synchronized sound track is a big mistake by Yash Chopra.....some dialogus are literally hard to hear...
Commercial Success...packed houses till onemonth atleast.....
Big Con....SRK & Priti both do overact...& sometimes irritate us......& No Yeh Hum AA Gaye Kanha Song....A terrific mistake....Does Yashji want me to watch this movie twice to see that song?....Sorry....
SRK Factor:SRK surely disappoints in first half & Gives extraordinary performance in the secon half.
Rani Mukharji:She literally steals the show man!Excellent performance by her..looks awesome...most honest performance in the movie by her...
Two Khers:Both are very good actors & justifies that...very natural acting by them.........
Music:Make no mistake it's the music of the film that lifts its weak storyline to a Super-Duper Hit film.....Yashji must thanks Madan Mohan for that & equally apologise to him for failed to put them(Songs) handsomely(/with great effort) on Big Screen.....
Should You watch the Movie...One go is a must....
