Booked our return ticket through Redbus for our Mahableshwar - Mumbai journey. Bus was an Airbus a/c sleeper on sunday 29th january & we had booked 2 lower births [husband wife and our 2 year old daughter].
Bus departed on time, almost clean. Around 12 noon or so, we stopped at karad. The driver & attendant announced they would be halting not more than 15 minutes. Since half of the passengers were sleepy, very few got down from the bus.
This halt lasted more than 45 minutes. Few angry passengers confronted the driver and he said the staff was having lunch. We had no issues with them having their food, but why didn't they inform other passengers. Almost all slept hungry.
The next stop came was at Lonavala, around 2/3 pm. Luckily had managed to grab some dry snacks that kept us occupied else it would have been really difficult for us.
Air conditioners were working fine, bus was clean, sadly the area below the blankets / sleeping birth was full of wrappers, etc. Wish people are more aware while travelling and wish its regularly cleaned.
700 rs for a single person not bad, wish they had in built tv screen for passing the time.
can surely recommend it to others [Yippee, no bed bugs as well]
