This debut of one of the most stylish, crispy, and electrifying actresses of bollywood i.e. RAVEENA TANDON was released in 1991, when I was in class 8th and was a huge fan of salman khan as he was on his peak after maine pyar kiya, baaghi and sanam bewafa's consecutive successes, and moreover salman was really really attractive and chocolaity at that time (12 years back.. oh God how time passes soooo rapidly) and was a real craze of that time among almost all cinegoers. But when I saw this film, I admire Raveena Tandon more tehn salman because of her charm, carizma, beauty, grace and barbie doll looks and figure.. she was really a breath of fresh air in typical eastern bollywood beauties that time... her acting was also reasonable as far as her debut is concerned. But I always feel sorry for Raveena that her start was soo much brilliant but she didnt reached those heights taht she deserved also she losts most of her charm in her personality, her electrifying beauty, her baby and bubbly looks with time ..no matter she was appreciated after mohra (remember mast mast) ,dil wale, andaz apna apna etc but just due to her carelessness towards her career and after Akshay kumar , she didnt reached the heights of Madhuri dixit as many of film goers were expacting after seeing her brilliant personality and charm (also acting and performance0... even Karisma who is much less talented and is gawky looking lady , acheived more then raveena just due to her thourough professionalism and full concentration towards her career . also she improved her gawky and funny looks by plastic surgery, make up techniques and polished attitudes and is no more the funny ''thing'' of ''prem qaidi'', ''jaagruti'' and ''nishchaiy'' years. Anyhow towards teh film... the basic problem with this film is its plot which is very dry, and boring and no charm is in it. but tsill the director got good results because of a slik screenplay and tight direction and editing... the story is of typical revenge, duty and love... (seighhhhhh) teh songs were very good specialy ''kabhi tu chalia lagta hai' was a street hit and still is a foot taping and popular number... all others were good and picturised very well with style, and ellegance specially ''sun dilruba'' '' aaja aaja aaja..aaja ray aa'' and ''maut say kia darna ussay to aana hai' were very well picturised by using modern techniques and different angels of lights and shades.... in my opinion, teh best part of this film was teh flow of songs, there were too many songs almost 11 that comes one by one after short intervals , and this style of presentation looked good . but overaall this film proved like its name.. i.e it doesnt gave a bouquet of fresh flowers to salman as his consecutive 4th super hit and also not to raveena as her debut film, but did only average business and hardly covered its cost and become stone's flower for both the lead actors. But anyhow, dont under estimate this film, bcoz it is a very stylishly made slik film and the well picturised songs will entertain u a lot .
