I used Patanjali dant kanti dental cream because it was from patanjali which gave numerous amazing products which are really helpful but I was badly disappointed by its results. I had so many expectations from this toothpaste as it advertised benefits like made from natural products and heals damage to teeth caused by harmful chemical toothpastes.Baba Ramdev is the Yog guru and has made India proud on an international level so I decided to trust his promises made on T.V ad as other leading toothpaste brands are bringing Indian traditional uses of brushing teeth in a new way and introducing as their own way from Ayurveda. For example, charcoal and salt infused toothpastes. After hearing this I thought this will be a genuine ayurvedic product but This is much horrible than any other toothpaste.
Coming to its flavor, Its got a disgusting flavor like spices and ingredients mixed to form a taste which will make you feel unclean all throughout the day. Forget the benefits, a good toothpaste should definitely have a good flavor at the least because the first thing you allow to enter you mouth after you get up is toothpaste. There is this Meswak and Dabur lal which say they use ayurvedic products have a pleasing flavor one of badisaunf(fennel seeds) which fills you with freshness and laung(cloves) which reaches your mouth to the edges. Patanjali offers many products and every product has a pleasing fragrance and ausum flavors so why is this toothpaste so dull.
Coming to its cleansing effect, it fails in proper lathering and hence a massage to the teeth with the brush fails.I personally, dont suffer from pyria from this toothpaste gives a bad odour that lasts all day long. Makes me conscious of talking to anyone. So, one can imagine how well it cleanses. There can be addition of natural mint which will help but surprisingly its not used and an overall bad taste which does not clean plague.
Improvement is far away if I continue this toothpaste.
There is another flavor which is for children and that has a blue jelly cream and has a good tasty flavor which makes children happy to use it. Why cant something like this be for adults also, atleast mint. Peppermint flavor is widely accepted which can be considered.
I literally brushed my teeth again after few mins of brushing because I felt even worst after brushing with this as if I have not brushed since ages:) And still used it at a relatives place out of little hope but again its So BAD.
Greatly disappointed by Patanjali. Despite such a good advertise commercial which sounds logical the effect of the toothpaste is useless. Ayurveda is just a tag used but no effects like an ayurvedic product will have. Do not try this.
Cost wise also its not that affordable So, for me atleast its a No-No.
