Passionup.com is a website for those of you who are in ‘luuuuuuurve’ and keen to show your loved one just how much you care by sharing greetings and poems. The site offers a variety of virtual e-greetings cards, letters and poems for you to send or check out, and also a few competitions, one of the current ones offering you the chance to win a dream trip to Hawaii, worth $10,000 (US) in total!
The home page itself is very fast loading but the colours are rather garish, purple, pink and yellow! I recommend you don’t visit this site the ‘morning after the night before’, nor if you don’t enjoy the sentimental side of life. You can check out the most popular greetings and the newest ones to be added to the site plus there are links to all the categories of greetings cards and pages available. There is also a good supply of friendship type messages to choose from as well as greetings for other occasions with separate pages for those looking for romance, fun or simple friendship greetings and messages.
Each time you send a Passion Up greeting, you will be entered into a sweepstake for a chance to win $250.00 in the weekly draw. This seems to be open to visitors to the site from just about any country. You can also subscribe to the free Passion Up Newsletter.
There are some beautiful and truly inspirational greetings and poems to be found, but also a lot of very ‘tacky’ and rather flip pages that you can pass on to friends simply by clicking on the ‘send this page to a friend’ link. However, if you do this, be prepared for both yourself and your poor unsuspecting friend to be inundated with emails from the site promoting the latest pages to be added and new greetings. These seem to arrive on practically a daily basis and can be very tiresome!
Sending a card or a page from the site to a loved one or special friend is very straightforward. You just complete both sender and recipient names and email addresses, add a message of your choice and the job is done. You aren’t given the option to choose a date for your greeting to be mailed as they are all sent immediately. Neither is there the facility to store names and email addresses, which is a bit of a disappointment if you like to bombard the same person with words of love and inspiration.
Overall, the site is fast loading without too many ads to slow up loading time and very easy to navigate. If you’re lacking in inspiration to write your special somebody words of love or friendship, then there is bound to be something to suit most tastes here for you to choose from. The greetings on offer range from the most touching to the plain silly!
