I bought Passion DVD Player with USBon 19 th July 2008.

Shop :Big Bazaar, Bangalore.

Price:1299 Rs.

Features :

Divx/DVD/DVD R/DVD RW/CD R/CD RW/MPEG4/MP3/JPEG/Kodak Picture CD compatible

Digital Equalizer

Plays all DIVX and Xvid version

Dual system NTSC/PAL output

High resolution still picture on screen display

Power resume/Smart power control

Progressive scan

Full function remote control

SMPS 110V-270V

plays all the files from Class USB Mass Storagedevice also.

This player doesn't look cheap as it is low priced.

Looks like a branded player only.

I liked the arrangement of remote buttons very much.

It works with my 500 GB USB Hard Diskwith Power Supply.

I have formatted It as FAT32using the tool downloaded from the link.

https://ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm.

This player has support for Foldersalso.

This player can also detect multipe FAT32 partions.

But I have tried with 2 only.

It doesn't support NTFS file system.

Please not that other players in the current market also doesn't support NTFS file system.

As NTFS is Microsoft proprietary file system.

This player also supports USB Card Reader.

I use this player most of the time to watch DivXmovies.

This player has support for MPEG4but doesn't play 3GP files.

The remote has to be pointed in the direction of DVD Player most of the time.

This player can decode JPEG images But doesn't have JPEG thumbnail view.

I noticed, It slows down, when player from larger USB Hard disk only.

Lip sync gets messed up for some DivX files.

These  problems doesn't appear when played from DVD.

USB socket appears to be loosly connected . May not lost longer.

Overall Its a good player to buy at that price.

As it is priced less than half compared to competitors with same features are less [Philips 3166]
