I purchased this DVD from Big Bazar at Ahmedabad somewhere in August. I was looking for some reasonable DVDs at low budget as I have already spent a lot on my LCD. I looked for Philips, LG and Sony. But the DiVX featured DVDs were in the range of 3500 plus.
So I went to hunt at Reliance Mart that is next to Big Bazar and also checked at Chroma just opposit to it. I also checked at Sales India round about the corner. All the players are expensive and the technology is getting outdated so fast, that you don't feel like spending big sum on something that is going to get outdated sooner.
What I found a good buy was Mitashi apart from this Passion. Big Bazar also got another brand called Kyoro (if I spelled correctly). But the quality of all these are doubtful. However I have had nothing much to loose by getting a Passion DVD at 1000 bugs. Even if it works for 6 months, paisa vasool. It is 4 months now. we virtually played all types of CDs and DVDs copied from computers and downloads. It played very well. The remote, you have to point it to the player from a distance of atleast 6 ft. Farther it doesn't work. However once you set a movie, you don't need it for at least 2 hours.
I guess it is not a bad buy for that money. You can play any DVD on this. We don't need to know much technology as our main purpose of buying a DVD is to play movies and songs. It works really well. It also carries last play memory and starts automatically from there. The functions on remote are also good.
