Though this movie is now old and many reviews have already been written about it but being a Salman Khan fan I wanted to present my views…so here is my take to this flick….

Last Sunday we had to go to a relatives place…I was grossly disappointed due two reasons *first *being my Sunday would be wasted in traveling (being in Mumbai even a small distance is a pain) *secondly *I wanted to see Partner in first week of release (Its Salman Khan film after all).

Anyways on Saturday morning I got the advance booking done for Sunday and ensured that I get the center most seats (that’s a benefit if u r doing internet booking, u can choose your seats). Center most seats because I had to see Salman Khan properly.

I am of his big fan since Maine Pyar kiya….. Coming to the movies…when I had gone inside the theater I was sure that I leave my brain outside and I entered the theater with a single expectation that I have to enjoy this movie. The plot is simple my dear Salman Khan is a love Guru (and he is looking Smashing in this movie) who has been successfully guiding the unsuccessful guy’s to the heart of their dream girl. However when Govinda enters his life begging to help him woo Katrina Kaif even Salman Khan is zapped because according to him the difference between the two is such that it can never be gapped. He refuses to help Govinda. Who then irritates Salman Khan to an extent that he finally agrees to help him.

What follows then is a hilarious chain of events wherein Govinda tries to woo lovely Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan tries to win over Lara Dutta a feisty journalist and a single mother. What follows next is a series of events laced with heavy dose of laughter here and there. How Govinda wins over Katrina & Salman khan wins Over Lara and her son forms the second half of the movie. Then there is twist in the tail when Lara come to know the profession of Salman Khan. Though its not a secret anymore but the movie has a happily ever after ending for everyone.

As we all know by now that this movie is a direct lift from Hitch (which was a great movie) but to compare Partner with it would not be justified at all as this is a David Dhawan film and we shouldn’t expect that much from him….:-) but the movie is a great time pass flick and the reasons for it are1.SALMAN KHAN IN CAPITALS….He is a treat to watch….though a lot has been said that it’s a Govinda film and Salman has side tracked himself blah blah and more blah.

However I feel that Sallu has a meatier role and he excels as the Love guru. He looks like a million buck…ravishing and dances like a dream….

  1. The one liners are damn good….so are the dialogues.

  2. Music is quite catchy and choreography is quite good.

  3. Lara Dutta…though she has small role but she excels in it. And looks great.

  4. There is only one word for Katrina Kaif…Lovely…

  5. I don’t have much to say about Govinda because whenever he came on screen there was Salman Khan with him and who wants to see Govinda when Salman is around. If not Sallu Katrina is around and then same ques. again who would want to see Govinda when Kat is around???

  6. The movie has largely been shot in bright colors which gives a zing to it and coupled with comedy, for three hours you can forget your worries and enjoy!!!!

  7. The kiddo in the movie is good, though I seriously wonder that nowadays why they are showing kids who act like grownups and are always brats…

  8. The climax though a bit stretched but is hilarious…

There are several minuses about the movie like 1. There is no story, Several loopholes like, how come just by noticing Govinda Katrina falls in love with him…her father is so easily convinced about their marriage… 2. Rajpal Yadav’s track has been forced into the script…though when he gets bashed up by Puneet Issar it’s hilarious…. 3. The twist where Salman being a love guru becomes a hindrance for Lara is quite forced...there was no need of Arti Chabaria track too…they picked this from Hitch where Eva was following the love doctor from the beginning and when she tracks him she leaves him but out here it’s purely forced and added as an afterthought. It does nothing but stretches the movie. 4. There is no logic at all in the movie (yeh baat alag hai ki this is what is expected from a DD Flick)

To sum up I would say that despite the fact that none of the readers have given this movie a 5 star it has been recommended by 76% of the users which says something. Though its a logic less flick but there is only one target in mind of the producers that is to entertain and that it surely does. It could be judged by the fact that the screen was houseful and even the theater was full of laughter.

I would suggest everyone to watch this movie because it’s a good time pass movie it entertains you thoroughly….you’ll love it for the nok jhonk between Govinda and Salman Khan. Don’t wait for the movie to come on Television go watch it on full screen because Salman Khan look damn good that ways....Go watch it….
