You have to visit it once in your life!. Review on Paris

If you ever make a list of things you wanna finish before dying, keep "visiting Paris" as one among the top ten!

It's not like any other European excursion!Being quite a bit arty and nature lover, I loved this place!

But before eulogizing this place..lemme tell you- if you are one of the many people who want "to shop while they are on a holiday" or "are looking for water parks" and "picnic  spots" on a holiday- Paris might  turn out to be just one Big museum for you! :)...

I would rate this place best among all I have seen till date!

[Many people praise the vatican city to be more beautiful, but going by my own personal experience...Paris beats Vatican City hands down!..]

It's a well preserved city! You can get list of major tourist attractions from many sites..and there is scores of info every where...But in this review I would just like to tell you things that might not be there in those

travel guides n sites!

There's a lot to say...so to make it very vivid n clear, I'll just jot down in points..

1) Visit the Palace of Versailles!...Many tour operators skip this place!!!..If you are not going through any operator..like we did ..then this should be in your itinerary!......It's a little outside the main city..but it's worth it! and spend some time..on the gorgeous canal n acres of lawns..lazing around!

2) See the "Louvre Museum"..not just for monalisa..but for the HUGE paintings and architecture.

On the first monday of every month , entry to most of the museums is free!so plan accordingly..as entry fees can eat a lot of your expenses!

3)Visit the Eiffle tower in the night ..after it gets dark..it's adorned with lights!and for the first ten minutes of every hour (till dawn strikes)..the lights flicker!! it's spectacular to just look at it flickering with lights..in the moon light..lazing around in the park beside it!

You can have dinner/lunch in the restaurant in the tower..

4)Take a four-five pass ..a travel pass..it's available on the sites...it includes a lot of tube travels(the underground metro train system is known as 'tube')..it's cheaper..makes a lot of sense!

5) **Paris is a city to be felt, watched and toured on foot!!..So instead of going for intra city bus tours..etc..

go for a tube+walk+ tube kindda itinerary..and there are some bicycle city tour too.Enquire about those too..which ever suits your budget..your fitness..and stamina!*

6) if you are back packing/are on a shoe string budget- stay at B&B ..bed and breakfast....they are the best bet....

A very important tip..it sounds unimportant but dnt skip this!!- Carry a tiffin box..packed with some fruits/snacks/chips/tit-bits..and a big bottle of water!..You will get badly exhausted visiting the museums, watching paintings..visiting parks..
