We decided to visit North India. Me, my hubby and my 4 year old son. Since it would be difficult to manage with our litl one, we had paid more and got a taxi from Panicker jus for the three of us for 5 days. The driver was too unfriendly that it made us feel that we are going a trip for him. If we ask him to stop for tea/coffee/food, he would never listen to us.
He would tell if we stop it will be late for you. But he would stop wherever he wants to and take rest for one hour atleast. He was waiting for a chance to cheat us and he cheated us once as well. He used to tell some localites about us and our next destination that those people were torturing us they will become our guide and come along with us and show us the place.
Totally an irritating trip we had. We have decided never to be on car spending almost 4 times as that on bus still not able to enjoy the trip. Everytime we will have to tell him thousand times to stop for anything. For shopping also they take us to some shop where they get a percentage of the profit. Those will be damn costly shops. Though me and my hubby can read hindi and understand it about 75% we were cheated left and right. We felt our money is wasted.
During the stay they told us that we sould arrive at one place at 6 am in the morning still we need to pay for the whole day lodging. We had paid for two whole days to Panicker. But when we were ready to vacate, the lodge people asked us to pay for one day because only one day checkin was paid and for the other day a pre-checkin has been made. Then we explained to the lodge people regarding this, they had called Panicker and then agreed us to leave when they agreed to pay for one day. The whole trip was more strugglesome rather to be enjoyable one.So much money and one whole week holiday at work still we had a tough time all together. Next time we will go on our own. We are not ready to go with Panicker Travels any more. People if anyone want to go with these people please beware.
