The words might sound harsh but it is a fact that in a customer friendly market, there is a 'foe' based in Pune. Pandit Automotive Pvt. Ltd. can literally be termed 'anti-customer'. They are simply there to take orders and deliver the cars. There is nothing else they can really do. Every customer is just another buyer for them, who as if, does not have any other option but to buy a TATA-FIAT car and has no choice but to buy from them!
My experience is a long story but I will just briefly explain here. I placed an order for the new FIAT-PALIO STILE SLX Alpine green by paying a token advance. I was told that the car would be delivered in 10 days max. But little did I realize that this was going to be the first of the several false commitments I was about to get from Pandit. Worst still, I never recvd a call from them ever since I paid the advance. I am hopelessy waiting for my car but for them, it was hardly any concern and this, inspite of my loan amount being already disbursed to them! So I had already paid 80% amount but still not sure when my car will come!! They were equally blank!!! When the front line exec and his senior failed to respond and even once ignored my call, I decided to meet the GM. During that period I was also made to speak with TATA's representative, who handeled the dealership. He also gave a false commitment. The GM and the TATA chap again gave me a false commitment...now this was really annoying and I started pursuing this issue. The dealer as well as TATA showed absolutely no concern despite the failures in delivery. In between, I was not contacted for 1 full month!!!
The GM refused to give me any commitment and in fact asked me to talk to the TATA guys...this shows inability, inefficiency and negative customer apporach. For me, it is the dealer and not the manufacturer. Nothing seemed to work as I recieved another false commitment!
Meanwhile, I had enquired at the other dealer in Pune - B U Bhandari and I found these guys really good. Their Sales Mgr personally pursued and prioritized the order and finall got the car for me in the given time and kept me posted about each and every development till I recvd the car. Since I had already given money to Pandit, he delivered the car to me without taking a single penny on the understanding that the money can be settled with Pandit and TATA later. First, you deserve to enjoy the car!
This is customer orientation and a heart for service. On the other hand, I am still fighting for my compensation and payment transfer with TATA and Pandit. They are still to understand their incapabilities but are instead trying to be indifferent.
Anyways, how long such attitude will help you survive? It is an appeal to all you buyers to think twice before going to Pandit and also remain alert about some decay in TATA.
