I have stayed in panchgani for about 8 years and know well about it.so I would be sharing my views about panchgani.Firstly it is about 275- 300 km from mumbai and the duration of journey is about 6-8 hours by road.
So, panxhgani is a hill station located on the mountain at a great height and just near to the mahabaleshwar.so you can visit both the places quite easily.It takes about 20 minutes from panchgani to mahabaleshwar.
TOURIST ATTRACTION:
So panchgani and mahabaleshwar, both the places consist of about 28 points like parsi point, monkey point , echo point, etc and there are about 2-3 table land.A table land is a flat place above the mountain and panchgani also has asia's third largest table land.on table land you can enjoy playing different games like shooting the ballons, throwing ball to drop glasses, etc.Besides that , you can enjoy horse riding as well as para gliding .Is that not amazing.Theremany tourist who are attracted to the panchgani-mahabaleshwar.Its a place which relaxes and relieves your mind from daily stressful life.Panchgani is also famous as a plce to study.I got to say that event it is a small place , but still there are bout 45-50 schools and some along with hostels.
There are many hotels too , where you will enjoy being in it.
Overall it is very good place to visit and not that far.So visit once and you will feel it as paisawasool.
