I'm sincerely Sorry for putting Pancham Puriwala under the Restaurant category. But MS do not provide for the small food joints. But believe me, this place is worth reviewing and visiting to.
Pancham Puriwala placed bang opposite CST (Earlier VT),Mumbai's Exit road out of Mail/Express trains is a unique experience itself. Well... Do u think that a restaurant needs to have an airconditioning system to cool u off or a menu-card or nice speaking waiters or a soft music playing in background ? If all the answers are yes.....please do not read the Review.
This place is absolutely absurd place to eat. The motto of this place to satify your hunger at decent price. After getting out from the Exit Route at CST, u will see this small eating place called Pancham Puriwala.
This place has only 300 sq. ft space including the tables, cash counter, cooking area & it is one the buzzing place...why ? move on The food served here meets the basic reason for having food i.e satisfy ur hunger. ...no latkas & zatkas As the name shows, this place serves & specialises in selling puri-bhaji.
A plate of puri-bhaji consists of 5 hot & large puris (made up of maida) and two katoris of sabji namely Kaddu & Potato. The taste is slightly on the tikha side. Every table also has one pot of chillies...pick & choose. Man...sounded wonderful..They also serve buttermilk,lassi...But the main attraction is Puri-bhaji. A plate of puri-bhaji costs u only Rs. 16....peanuts yaar..U can buy probably 5 drops of coffee at Barista at this price.anyway... Thats OK...Food seems to be OK.But about ambience. F*--ck da ambience & enjoy the food that they serve. Let me be honest and tell y that for people looking for comfort & peace while having their food ,this is not the place. Business meetings, family outings are no no here. SOunds bizarre...to me too ! but, I've tasted the puris & I've loved'em. Till then tata....
