Memories are the only thing which last forever, So Save them. And if you can save them in Digitize form, what else you want.
I wish to buy a handycam which is light weight and easy to use and cost effective too. And I end up at GS-15.
It is very light weight and small you can carry it in your fist without letting no one to notice. This helps to take crucial shots.
GS-15 comes with a mini DV-Tape, this tape stores video as well as the still pics. You can download the pics & video & digitize them on ur PC by using USB cable which comes with the pack.
- GS-15 allow you to set the 2 modes of Video quality is by mentioning the bits(12-bit & 16-Bit), Higher the bits more the space it take on the DV-Tape. Though Video quality is good enough in both the cases.
Initially I found that the quality of still pics is not that good but then got a trick. While taking snaps
press Pause button, and if u like the snap Press Snap button to save the pic on the tape. This improve the quality of snap.
Now the Z()()M part of GS-15, 22x Optical Zoom is just amazing, It increses your Sight by miles and catch you what seems Impossible. This is the section where no other Digital Camera can competer with a Handycam.
- It also have 800x Digital Zoom, But Digital zoom never gives better result so in this case. But with
a 22x OZ you dont often need DZ.
GS-15 comes with a Battery and a Charger, Battery life is good enough to shot an event like a marrige, picinic etc, But if you wanna use it for more time u can have an extra battery. GS-15 can also be used with direct power connection.
TV output, This allows to see your video and snaps on the TV just buy Plugging the connector cable. This add to the excitment of watching video.
The Remote of GS-15 is also wonderful, just set the camera and sit aside you can Record, Play,
Rewind, Fwd,etc.. just by using the Remote.
- I got GS-15 in arround 32,000 but that was a Year back so it would be an odd 2 or 3 thousand lesser by now. And Its worth investing so much money coz u know "Memories are FOREVER"
It comes with lots for features like Flash Light, Night vision, Mic etc.. which can be used and viewed while shooting the video and all that add the spice to the flavor. And that too in a small pack. Thats why it said "Good things come in small packages".
