I had to search a little before I discovered this wonderful cordless. First I rented from the phone company but that was in the days of being attached to a cord. I am far too freedom loving for that. So instead of renting, I bought a cheap phone from Wal*Mart (yes, sigh, we even in Hawaii have them). Complete waste of $16.00. It weighed about as much as a feather and I seriously think they left out some parts. There was lots of static and if you turned while talking, it would go dead. Next, I responded to a promotion that came with the phone bill. $159.00 but spread over several month on bill. This was more worse! You could talk for 20 minutes, then the battery would die. Now, 20 minutes for me is only warm-up stage. When I talk on the phone, its hours later I emerge while my pour ear goes into recovery.
By now I'm fed up and irritated. I don't mind to pay for something as long as it behaves how it promises. So I go to our local telephone store, called Phone Mart. Ah, its my friends aunty working there. I explain all my gripes and she recommend this brand that she also uses in her home. The cost was $89.00, again, billed to phone bill in installments.
I try very hard to find a thing wrong with it, but so far nothing. The sound is crystal clear no matter how far away you are to the other end.I am so pleased with the quality and features. It has caller ID display, intercom with capability like speaker phone, voice mail alert, storage memory for numbers and also you can scroll back through all previous numbers that have called. That one is useful if you live with others that tend to ''forget'' to give you messages. And I like that it is a heavy phone, well it may sound strange but I like something solid and definite, not some couple pieces of plastic that feel like a toy. I'm sure There are more features I haven't yet discovered but I'm pleased with the ones I use.
The best part is that you can talk all day and battery is still functioning. You don't have to put it back in the cradle every time. If you mis-place it, theres a button to push that makes it beep. This is a good model that I would purchase again. A must have for ''wala'au''. Thats ''talk story'' in Hawaiian.
