I ordered a Panasonic A/C in August 2012 at Sathya Agencies located at No: 1/832, Velachery Main Road Medavakkam Chennai – 600 100. The Sales Rep/Manager Shaji provided a pathetic and arrogant service which Sathya Agency should be ashamed of. He did not want to accept card in the first place and had to pay in cash. The unit was supposed to be shipped by 9 AM in the next day, no one showed up after multiple follow up calls attended by the Sales person called Mercy who constantly lied on the phone saying it was on the way reaching in an hr.
Waited for another day and same drama till noon. And finally the shipping guy called around 6PM and confirmed he was on the way . And he called by 9.40 PM for directions and asked to come us in a car to pick up the AC in the midway since he did not want to come. Called Shaji and asked what was the deal, finally he came and delivered the unit.
Next day Panasonic guys from Jeyam Electricals (they were real professionals) came on time and found the delivered was a demo product and no gas in the unit. Called Shaji Sathya agency, no formal apology, he sent again another unit. Day4 , again Panasonic service guys came, found the unit was a used one. Called Sathya Agency, shameless guy acted again. We were fed up and called the head quarters at Tuticorin https://sathyaonline.com/branches.aspx and a gentle man called Ramesh heard the problem and put Shaji on conference call. He gave a day time to fix it and did not want to have another episode. On Day 5, finally we got the AC.
I would strongly recommend to refrain some this store. Tuticorin HQ should really look into the quality of service going on with this branch which would end up with spoiling their name for good. I heard similar stories (Fans, Iron boxes and TVs stopped working in few months)from my friends living in the neighborhood, will encourage them to post their views.
I believe this store is selling duplicate products and misusing the Sathya Agency name. Meantime called Panasonic and filed a complain, asked them if they are using used product to sell their product via this store, may be they are used to it, did not hear back from them. I will never buy anything or let people I know from Sathya Agencies/Medavakkam from now on.
