The washing machines from from Panasonic are of HORRIBLE quality. The service is PATHETIC!
I own a 6.2 kg washing machine of Panasonic make. The machine broke down 3 times in 4 years of use. I have spent a lot on repairing this product. The complaint # number is very difficult to find. When I called, I was told that I will be charged Rs.400/-+ taxes just to take a look at it. If it is not repairable or it costs a bomb to repair, it is your funeral. No estimates of repair cost will be given before the site visit that will cost Rs.400/-+ taxes.
The technician visited us after a couple of days and after many phone calls. He diagnosed that a part needed to be replaced. So, I had to pay the full money in advance for the part and then, the service agent would back-order it with the company. No receipts will be given for the advance paid. I was told it would take 15 days for the part to be received. Till then I am supposed to wash my own clothes or wear dirty clothes. Customers are held for ransom by the dealer and Panasonic.
I called the complaint # to ask what is this nonsense and found that the call center is a bunch of idiots. The idiot who answered my call did not understand anything of what was told and he only kept telling me in a very poor accent that he will "escalate the matter to the dealer". Whatever use it may be, each to his guess. When I asked this question and asked who will it be escalated to, he banged the phone down and disconnected.
I have owned washing machines of Videocon and Kenstar make. Never ever had to call for service.
Good that I found out about this HORRIBLE service before I made a purchase of my new a/c and refrigerator. Panasonic is DEFINITELY OUT OF QUESTION.
NEVER EVER BUY PANASONIC PRODUCTS.
