I bought a fiat palio car in 2002 and till date Im fighting a consumer case against fiat.Within a month of buying the car from vivek motors the car started developing faults and subsequently the fuel pump, gear box parts, alternator, tappets, engine frequently opened up and despite asking for the car to be changed advised to get engine changed.Mileage went down, tappets in bad shape.
I bought a new car for my peace of mind but that is what I dont have now.
For the last nearly five years I have fighting a consumer court battle with the fiat lawyers delaying the case and the judges not taking the side of the consumer for what it is built for.
So guys if you get in a position like me dont depend on fiat to bother about you.
It will leave you on your own.You think it will make a difference now that Tata has joined up?
The first and foremost thing should have been satisfying their customer.
Tell me did I go wrong in fighting it out? Shouldnt fiat have taken care of me instead?
Five years and the next hearing in January and I still dont know if I can get justice in my country where companies like Fiat are selling their cars.Do you think they could have done this on their home ground? Or in any other country for that matter?
The fact of the matter is that thye take Indian customers for a ride knowing fully well that the courts here can be bought and manipulated.
