To begin with, I must say that this is an opinion of an Indian and therefore might contain abrasive remarks over Pakistan. I hope these remarks do not actually hurt anybody, but if they do, I apologise for them right here.

Pakistan and India are culturally non-distinct, though neither of the two will agree to this. I can say this essentially because Pakistan and India were no where different fifty-six years ago. The two rose as one civilization, came under the single British rule, fought together against the foreigners and after that we separated and began hating each other.

Our enmity is not because of what we did to each other. The roots of our hostility lie in one principle the British followed everywhere they went- dividus et impera (divide and rule). And therefore, we say we are different, we say we are opposite of each other, we hate each other not as individuals excersising their freedom of choice, but as gullible simpletons influenced by a foreign idea.

And yet, that does not in any way make me a fellow who likes Pakistan. Pakistan is, after all, a country that has fought wars with us- a country that will not hesitate to kill our men, a country that will, in fact, try and cause as much harm to us. They are, however, within their rights. There is no decree against hatred. There are just ethics.

But Pakistan is still culturally non-distinct from us. And it is because of this why they have not been able to hide their motives from us. It is because of their complete similarity to ourselves that we have been able to see through their words, actions and faces. It is because of this fact that Pakistan becomes an almost predictable foe.

But this hatred has to end. If for nobody else, it must at least for the people of Kashmir. Pakistan and India have been shooting each other's soldiers for Kashmir in the process disrupting the lives of those for whom the battles are fought, in the process devastating families and ripping them apart.

If Pakistan cares for Kashmiri people, it better empty their guns.

Badal is never successful. What alone can be successful is love. If you speak the language of badal, then you are bound to fail. Pakistan must realise- India stands only to reasoning. It does not appreciate violence.

This is probably where Pakistan and India separate.

Any how, whatever be the case, Pakistan and India are essentially blood-sisters wanting to claw each other's eyes out.

Stop it, ladies!
