PuRE EcsTAsy.............. Review on Paap Songs

POOJA BHATT surely seems to have a great sense of music...................first it was MM KREEM's brilliant score for JISM and now for PAAP which is her directorial debut she has roped in some PAkistani composers,who seem to have done wonders for this album...............Anu MALIK is the guest composer for this score.There is a very different feel to the album,the music is a mix of pop,fusion and sufiana..............and the album is a sheer pleasure to listen if you have a good sense of music.The lyrics are penned down by a host of people.JISM,JHANKAAR BEATS and PAAP are the album of the year for me.

There are ten tracks in the album................out of which five are instrumentals.

INTEZAAR..............is the opening song of the album composed by ANU MALIK and written by SAYEED QUADRI,THE LYRICS ARE THE HIGH POINT OF THIS SONG.Intezaar is very nice and melodious song..............the music is soothing and though the song is pretty long it does not bore you.ANURADHA PAWDWAL makes a comeback with this song and she certainly does not dissapoint.Overall a beautiful and haunting number.

MANN KI LAGAN..............composed by SHAHI is an absolute pleasure to listen,its exactly my kind of song.The song has got such an infectious tune...............that you are hooked to it the moment you listen to it.The lyrics by AMJAD ISLAM AMJAD..............are nice and the voice of RAHAT FATEH ALI KHAN is a revelation,its mesmersing.I wish I had a voice like him..................then i'ld need nothing in this world.BUY this album for this song itself................

GARAZ BARAS..............is a pop track composed and sung by ALI AZMAT(of junoon fame).Its a fusion song,the lyrics are classical but the music is very western,lots of funk and energy in it.ALI AZMAT's voice is always a pleasure to listen.............and he sings the song with lots of energy,which will make you dance to the tune.

SUN E MERE DIL...................is the only average song in this album. Its just too long and boring,the tune isn't very catchy or enjoyable and the singing too is very odinary by anuradha pawdwal AND udit narayan.Skip..........

LAAL(ALAAP)is not exactly a song,coz not much words are used in it..............its more of a musical piece,but a stunning one at that.SHAHI again does a great job composing it.............and RAHAT FATEH LI KHAN and FARRUKH FATEH ALI KHAN's do wonders with their vocals in the alaap.

Now coming to the instrumentals...................there are five of them which I suppose will be used in the background in the film.HAMESHA KE LIYE KUCH NAHI REHTA,APNE CHAHATO PE KABOO,KIS KIS KO MARO GE and INTEZAAR INTERLUDE composed by MUSIC MUSHROOM are the one I liked,they have that pakistani feel to them,fusion of western and sufiana,which makes them very nice to listen to .The only one I didn't like was ZINDAPAL...............found it quite boring.

Overall the album of PAAP...............is absolutely brilliant and a must buy.It should be in your colllection................if you enjoyed the music of JISM,you will surely enjoy this one too.GO GRAB IT............
