I like PVR multiplex and wouldn't mind paying the high cost of tickets as I value its ambience and good picture and sound quality.
That said, I am unhappy with the following:
1. Main concern is their staff who behave as if they themselves own the theatre!!! I booked tickets online and went to PVR to print the tickets at the kiosk. But the kiosk was not working and they had put a board "not working".
There was no clue about what alternative the customer should choose if the kiosk is not working. I stood in line and went to the ticket clerk and produced the confirmation print-out and asked for my tickets. He rudely pointed to the kiosk and said I can take print-out from there only.
I told him its not working. For that he replied that there are many other kiosks and told me to search them "on the way to the opposite end of the theatre". Such ridiculous behavior and directions! Is this the service that we should expect after paying such high ticket cost? Why can't they print the tickets at the window? If they can't are they not supposed to give clear instructions at the kiosk that was not working instead of just putting up a "not working" board
2. People constantly chat on their mobile phones and take pictures during the show. This spoils the fun of going to the movie. I watched the horror movie "Phoonk". But the whole fun was spoilt by a group of youngsters who had wierd ring-tones on their mobiles and continuously rang them whenever a horror scene was about to appear.
They turned the horror movie into a comedy show. But I consider this as a waste of money. I have no interest in their college-type jokes. I went their to watch a movie in peace. But alas, I think it would have been better to watch it in my DVD player. Can't PVR put at least one staff in the theatre to keep a watch on such unruly people? I hope PVR will read this comment and take appropriate action. Thank you
