OMG hangover, slap-on-the-face approach

With no focus on multiple, crucial issues in India and fixation only on preaching, PK is a completely missed opportunity.

Rajkumar Hirani, considered to be one of the top-notch directors in India, for once, should not have listened to Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Aamir khan was up against the most challenging task of proving his skill in this prestigious movie, but I am sorry to say he became much more active in preaching and only in preaching.

Post interval, there is nothing much to watch in the movie. It is so predictable. The first half of the movie which was a bit enjoyable because of the protagonist's take on the new world but the same gets diluted by a Hirani trying to raise too many issues and being unable to hold it all together.

The theme is quite similar to Oh My God which was scripted much better(and therefore kept AUDIENCE interest thorughout the movie), and wherein Paresh Rawal acted brilliantly and asked the same questions that PK asked.

There are not enough characters and not enough character development, entire focus was on PK. Sometimes, not enough is happening, and when it does it's always in the same.

Ending is a total letdown. The climax is so weak that you can save your last minutes and leave the cinema hall for some other purposeful work if you feel like doing so. It leaves one feeling completely dissatisfied and unfulfilled as one walks out of the theatre.

Hirani has stated everything strongly in a slap-on-the-face type approach. The film has shown disgrace to many religions in bad humour.

Everybody has got a fundamental right of faith as per constitution of india.let them follow-why ridicule it. It may hurt the sentiments of some people. Also, quick comical skits have beed used for this purpose which does not suit the plot.

The love story between Anushka Sharma’s and Sushant Singh Rajput’s characters ended even before getting blosommed. It is not possible to comprehend why was Sushant Singh Rajput cooling the heels at Pakistan for quite a long period.

In the ages of Email, Facebook, twitter and Whatsapp it IS difficult to understand Sushant Singh Rajput’s role which is butchered way earlier in the first half itself.

Then there was a bomb-blast scene which looked like it has been forced into the sequence of events and was quite clumsy.

Some of the vulgarity depicted could have been avoided.

An average film not at all expected from the Aamir-Hirani duo, falls much short of expectations.
