A discussion to reach on a logic. Review on PK

God is there or not? if yes than what kind of existence is there? Many questions and answers to the same tune and extent.

Raju Hirani has one thing in common with the best of directors of past is that he knows how to “Keep It Simple”. We have seen this in all of the movies which he made in past.

Simple story with basic day to day life wala logics and fantastic execution of it. In the end you have one “worth watching” movie.

Same is the case with PK. The directors tries to ask simple questions but with a different logic and you are forced to think about the answer.

We all know that religion is a tough thing in India and it is tougher to ask or rather raise questions about it. So the way out is that make a fun filled movie and in the background keep hitting people about their unsettled logics of life.

This process may make someone happy or get someone in domain of bad emotions. But it’s a necessary process, questions must be asked and answers must be arrived at.

This is what we are created for. I feel PK is a nice attempt to ask those questions but don’t know whether answers will be there or not.

The story is well written but I feel that the early release of Oh My God has an impact and due to this there were some script modifications and as an aftermath the burden came on execution style for an “already heard story”.

Aamir Khan is a real excellent one and does his roles beautifully in movie; his approach of “acting” and not “starring” will be appreciated always.

His acting in a role of an alien justifies the role. The way he curiously asks questions and tries finding solutions for those is a real fun filled journey, the way he get acclimatized with the environment of a new planet and learn basic of life to live here is beautiful and worth watching and appreciating.

His costumes were beautiful the way he presents his emotional outburst sometime is fantastic.

Anushka Sharma justifies her role and her acting was really contained to basic acts rather than unwanted emotions, same is the case with Sushant Singh.

Boman Irani is ill utilized in this movie and Saurabh Shukla did a great job but probably the role which he was in can directly be compared to Mithun in Oh My God! Mithun’s role was fantastic and his acting was par excellence. Rest all were fine as there were little things to do for them.

Here I would like to make a special mentioned that unlike Raju Hirani’s other movies there were lesser elements in terms of acting and characters. Which forces the movie to float around few and repetitive characters.

Music is fine and supports the script; there could be lesser songs because the subject does not support much of instruments to be used in movie.

One of the most important point as per me is that Aamir could have played a common human being rather than an alien. He playing alien came up with lot of technical issues and to explain this you have to make a Christopher Nolan kind movie.

Overall, PK is a must watch and some of the scenes like Death of Sanjay Dutt and climax will touch your emotions.

Go and watch it for Aamir khan’s beautiful acting and Hiarni’s “Keep it Simple” attitude for stories.
