Finally a good and affordable seafood restaurant in Bangalore city. Came back impressed.

The place is on the Jyothinivas college road. Its not very predominant, but you won't miss it either. The parking is in the basement, which is a very big plus on that part of the city. When you walk into the restaurant, you get a pleasant feel. The ambiance is relatively polished and modern. The lounge section is more laid back.

Since it was a family lunch plan, we opted for the buffet. Weekend buffet is 350+taxes for adults and 200+taxes for kids above 6(my kid was 6 and she was not charged - so I assume). The soup, was nothing extra ordinary. Hot and sour seafood. However the surprise came with the starters. We had fish (grilled in two different ways) and crab. Both are cooked with very little oil. The crab was simple great. Juicy and soft shelled. UNLIMITED. Most of us by the time we were thru with the crab, it was full. :)

They also had some interesting cold salads. Squids, Crab meat, Cuttle fish etc. Really nice, especially the crab meat (I know, its crab all the way). I was told they have prawns usually, however the tock was not there on this particular day. I saw some guy checking on lobster, which weighed almost a kilo. Didnt want to try that, as we were already full.

The main course has a reasonably good spread of chicken, fish, and veg items. They also served Kerala Paratha. BTW, its owned by a guy from kerala, who owns a seafood export business - no wonder. He was very pleasant, and I believe he is opening this as a chain in Mumbai and Delhi as well.

Then came the dessert time. The kids who skipped most of the main course, by the time we finished our main course had quite a few large helping of Ice creams and mangoes. The mangoes were good. Of course its the season. Each of us had lavish servings of this, multiple times. The servers were very pleasant and kept refilling the plates (you would have realised that by this time we were so stuffed, we were not able to walk). There was something worth mentioning here. Saw a very innovative dessert (at least for me it was new) Mango-golla. Ras-gollas in juicy mango juice. Tasty.

So after a 3 hour long saturday lunch we decided it enough. :)

Good place. Try out before they become a chain - for then the way they serve you will differ :) (However, I hope they wont)

Yes, they serve alcoholic drinks.
