First, I had booked a particular hotel in Ranchi but OYO Rooms shifted that booking to another hotel, without my consent and just sent me the information. When I actually reached the other hotel(Shivangi Home, Ranchi) on the day of the booking, I was told very coldly that no rooms were available. When I told them that OYO Rooms had booked a room for me there, I was told that it was not relevant since no rooms were available at that time. When I asked them what they can do they told me that they were not responsible and I have to go elsewhere. Just behind me, another traveller too came with a booking through OYO Rooms and was treated in the same manner. I dialled OYO Rooms helplines several times but the call did not connect at all. IT was 8 pm at night and quite cold as well. After making the booking, OYO Rooms had kept on sending me messages to pay the money in advance itself for easier "check-in", but I was lucky that I did not do so, else I would have lost that also.
Eventually I found some alternative place but it was done with a last-minute desperation, I had to pay a higher price. I trusted OYO Rooms but in return all I got was a horrible experience. I do not trust OYO Rooms any more, it is completely unprofessional. The company is only interested in collecting money by whatever means and swindling customers. I am also considering going to the customer court and filing for compensation.
