What women want - Hair language answer a bit!!!

A woman's hairstyle has long been considered a way of sending out signals to men.

For example, psychologists who have studied the body language of hair agree that short, cropped hair is likely to convey a no-nonsense image; hair pulled back into a bun or tight pony tail shows coolheaded conservatism; a fringe covering most of the forehead could mean you're shy; too immaculate grooming without a hair out of place suggests untouchable, while the soft windswept look is universally tops for sexiness.

But now, the experts are saying that even the way a woman unconsciously fusses with her hair while talking to a man, can have a great deal of sexual meaning in flirtation. Pointers to a few -

  1. Very often you see a woman repeatedly playing with her hair as she talks to a man; she runs her fingers through it, brushes it back, toys with it, flips it, these unconscious grooming movements indicate that the female is unwittingly saying, 'I want to improve my looks for you.' Without realising it, she is transmitting powerful invitations to the male. Sexy rock star Tina Turner is a good example of how a woman can turn on men simply by playing with her hair.

  2. While she talks she is constantly in motion; continuously fixing, refixing, and generally playing with her amazing honey hair with long, blood-red fingernails. It really is the most uninhibited way of signalling her sensuality.

  3. You can easily tell that a particular woman in love with a particular man, by the way she constantly plays with her hair when she's with him. She might often pull it across her face in a kind of peek-a-boo fashion, which is a sure sign she is attracted to the man she is with. Other times, she may push up the hair at the back while talking, so it's almost in a twist, then let it fall down again. Most women do that when they are feeling very attracted towards their partner.

So what is this so-called secret language of the hair, and how can a woman play it, whether she's got a flowing mane or a snappy bob?

The subtle hints according to experts who came up with the following:

Running her fingers through her hair: Can be a subconscious way of inviting a man to touch it. When a woman already know the man is attracted to her, she often unwittingly uses both her hands to fluff it up a little in a sort of preening gesture.

Letting her hair down while talking to a man: Women who do this can be sending one of two signals - one is that she is playfully teasing him, but at the same time telling him that she is in complete control of the situation.

Tugging her hair: Often a signal of frustration, and usually used when a woman realizes she isn't going to get very far with a man.

Twisting a strand of her hair into a tight line: Can often mean a woman isn't uncertain about a man's intentions, but is quite prepared to carry on the flirtation before coming to any decision.

Chewing or s*cking a strand of hair: According to the experts, this gesture which can only be done by women with long hair - is one of the most potent come on signals a woman can give.

Tossing her hair while talking: Another signal available to women with longer hair and who are confident of their sexuality; the message clearly being:'Here I am, glamorous and alluring.

Brushing off imaginary loose hairs from her shoulders: A nervous gesture, usually made by a shy woman who doesn't have the confidence to face a man straight on, or, alternatively, made by a woman who wants to give the impression she's shy.

Most men do prefer women with medium to long hair. Long hair on women has long been considered provocative or erotic, especially by strait-laced societies such as the Puritans, who solved the problem of too much sexiness by making women cover their hair with a hat or other pious headgears, or roll it into a tight knot, but whatever the colour or hairstyle, most men I wish a woman's hair to be soft. Sexy women sense this.

Hair spray or mousse is a turn-off to most men. It unconsciously signals that the wearer is stiff, tense, and doesn't want to be touched.

But it is still just pointers, so beware and a man shouldn't assume that a woman knows what signals she is giving when she plays with her hair. It's up to him to find out whether she is signalling real interest - or merely scratching her head, for if it happens to be her bad hair day. you miht have just had it!

Some hair-raising stuff for men.;-)
