I first subscribed to this magazine, because there was an offer for a dual subscription to Outlook India, and Newsweek International. I was then not very keen on the dual subscription offer, but I got two very well known magazines at a very economical price.
I am glad, that this offer was existing, as I have become a great admirer of Outlook India. The magazine can be compared to Week, and India Today, both weeklies published in India. All the three magazines are sterling. All of them have their strong points, when a reader considers them.
India Today is the most authoritative, Outlook is equally well presented, in it's individual manner, and Week is a very good publication which is edited in the south of India. I must add, that I would find it not an issue to subscribe to all or any of these magazines.
I have not read Week, or India Today, for a while now. I do not purchase them from the news-stands. I feel, that reading one good weekly news magazine is good enough, but I will think about subscribing to Week, and India Today, too. The features that they publish are different, but the news topics that they cover are the same. But they cover it in their independent capacities, and hence the coverage is different. I liked all the articles written in the last anniversary issue of Outlook.
There were very distinguished columnists who had contributed, to name one or a few, would be a disservice to all. These were undoubtedly features which I refer to, but the writers did the readers a service, because they gave their individual opinion, and seemed to be totally not biased, both at the same time. Very well known writers contributed to the magazine on it's anniversary issue, as I have mentioned earlier, and as I am emphasizing again. Outlook India has a very good website, which allows one to record one's views.
