This is the comment I gave for one of the user's review. I gave my Yamaha Fazer for servicing last week and I got back in a day though they set the expectation that it may take 2 days.
Now, I was happy that they tole me upfront that there may be delays. FYI, I was apprehensive when I read the reviews here in Mouthshut. But I felt they were nice to me and they were good with the servicing also. Now, if you question why 2 days for servicing, I can't answer.
We can only judge based on what they communicate. They had huge number of vehicles lined up and I saw the chart inside. I cant comment on Mechanics but surely the supervisor who handled my case was very nice. (His name is Nagendra and my vehicle number is KA-6830).
Sales: The guys were friendly (Nikhil & one more guy - I don't remember his name). They asked what I wanted and provided me options but didn't force. It took a while for me to understand their 5.5% rate of interest finance option. But they explained me at least 4-5 times.
They delivered my bike in a day as promised. I got my vehicle registered, number plates done, insurance done (like any other dealer) through them.
The staff courtesy needs to be appreciated. I lost my Yamaha driver's manual and it was replaced immediately free of cost. They had good collection of helmets and driver's jackets, gloves and other accessories.
I don't want to name the guy but one of them even advised me to buy an accessory outside since it will cost cheap. Service: The service center has lots of cabinets for storing helmets. So, if you leave your bike for servicing, you don't have to carry your helmet back.
My supervisor was helpful. Not sure about others. He set right expectations and advised on lots of things. When I came to pick up my bike, the supervisor also told me it will take at least 15-20 minutes to complete all formalities - from form filling, to payment and bringing the bike out.
Some of the chaps who came to collect the bike lost their cool in this period. There were many people who had come between 5 PM and 6 PM and there were only 2 supervisors.
When they were handling one customer, others were losing cool. May be that's why I see many negative reviews. Having said that, the spares are costly in Yamaha stores. And nothing happens "immediately".
