I have open bank account three months back. Recently they have launch new scheme -- Invest Rs.1250.00 for 60 months, u will get Rs. 1,00,000.00 ( No TDS) This is first time I visit this branch for account opening. Front office staff are really helpful to give every detail of schemes.
This bank is mergered with UTI Bank. This is also good thing is happened for its customers. It gives more access points to transact with banks.
According to me, there will be lots of M & A in Banking Sector. One year back, Bank Union is strong. But it is not fadding only because the senior staff ( 50 to 58 ages) are not coping with new enviorment. Those who are comfortable with ticking everywhere with red ink, they have to press enter button. They are not comfortable with this.
Now whole economy is in bad shape, there will be computer age. This senior staff are finding difficult to adjust. So they r ready for VRS. So many bank will leaving with young staff with lot of computers.
There will not more than 5 banks in India who will be having great presence in every state. State Bank will merger with its associated banks in two years.
So my friends do not worry about merger happening in Global Trust Bank with UTI Bank. It has great future. I can see great future of ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank & UTI Global Bank.
