I am extremely disappointed with Orange service today for the Bangalore to Guntur ac sleeper bus service. We are undergoing very bad experience which started last night.
I had been traveling with Orange for the last 10visits or more to Guntur and have always noticed deterioration in service quality. Last time I went it was the worst experience. And this time it is unbelievably hellish.
1) we were given a pick up van at the pick up point instead of the bus itself.they said ac was just repaired so we had to go and board bus at the repair point. But after we reached the point we waited for another hour for the ac to be repaired. Finally we got into the bus and they took another 15mins to repair. The bus started and so did the ac. But the ac got dysfunctional in just 5mins of working. We were told to open windows. I am a woman traveling with a little kid and we r having to breathe all the smoke and pollution. It is extremely hot because of no ac also.
2) the curtains and bedsheets look as if they have never been cleaned since the Orange service started. They are all dusty and grey in color with large patches of stains.
3) Trash has not been cleared. Lot of biscuit wrappers, tissues, empty water bottles in every seat.
4) I asked the driver why the bus was so dirty. He seemed to have no clue. He just said that "see.that's how these buses r being maintained".indirectly hinting me that he can't do anything about it. He also suggested I open the windows and they will release the ac for 2 hrs every now and then which they never did.
5) we have witnessed the curtain rods falling off on us during the journey. This happened in many seats. We are fortunate that they haven't fallen on sleeping kids.
6) We were told that we will be shifted into a new bus near Tirupati and that did not happen. Reason quoted was that the bus did not arrive
7) our destination is Guntur and we are still near Nellore. Means another 4hrs journey. We will be reaching Guntur at around 11am, in a non ac bus. Shows that the bus is actually moving at a snail's pace. It will take 4hrs from here IF the driver doesn't stop anywhere and picks up speed. Else we will be reaching in the afternoon.
8) All mothers in the bus are worried about their kids going hungry without breakfast and having to travel in the extreme heat.
This is unforgivably the WORST service offered by any tours and travels agency by far. I will post more updates which are sure to come up.
Just because I am traveling alone with my kid this time, I could not dare to walk out of the bus at bangalore itself. Otherwise I would have dropped it in between. I did try to find other buses but was unsuccessful. I had no other option than to go through all this for placing my trust with Orange Travels. I paid for a "trustworthy ac bus service" but I got just the opposite.

.FRESH UPDATE(continuation for the above).
1) SO we finally reached the destination the next day at 12:30PM. 5 AND HALF HOURS LATER THAN THE SCHEDULED ARRIVAL TIME IN A NON-AC UNCLEAN BUS.
2) I had been promised by the customer service reps throughout the journey that I will be given a refund once I travel to my destination and reach there, that I would get a call from the feedback department and that they would give my refund. But I got no such calls. One of the reps also "suggested" I take a taxi(somewhere on the highway near two villages) and that they would "speak about the refund later". After 3 days of calling them again and again and speaking to reps 12 times, they finally just said "We are sorry we can't give you a refund now as you have already reached your destination. We apologize for the MINOR INCONVENIENCES caused to you, but we can at best give you a verbal assurance that such things will not happen when you travel with us in the future". This statement was said by a guy called PERVEZ, who was their rep. Other reps named Sampath and Vishwa also spoke in the similar tone. This exposes their fraud,
As I had mentioned, I clicked lots of pics of the condition of the bus. but for some reason Mouthshut is taking a really long time to upload them.
Someone had asked in the comments if were paid to write reviews here. I am not sure. All that matters to me is keep people warned about this travel service operator. I don't really care if I am paid or not. This is just an HONEST REVIEW.
