I don't want to mention all my woes for discontinuing with hutch after 2 years of being tolerantly loyal to them, but my second letter submitted to them on the 4th of August for the deactivation of my account, sums up all the painful events of the past 2 years.


After my first letter to them on the 25th of July 2007 for deactivation of my number, I recvd a call from thier churn team, they tried very hard to convert me back into a hutchie, but I had resolved really hard this time and thus I resisted their seduction and ended the sophomoric conversation with a promise that I would not revert back to hutch even if they gave


A lifetime free phone with STD & ISD free too...   the conversation ended with a promise from his side that the phone number would get disconnnected in 72 hours, but I noticed that on the 4th of Aug the connection still was alive. So immediately on the 4th itself, when I callled them up to inquire about the delay in disconnecting my line, they told me that I need to mention a reason for disconnecting and wihtout that they are helpless and could not disconnect it.


So I gave them the reason over the phone but they refused to accept my reason on the phone, they demanded it in writing...


So I wrote to them for the second time, requesting them again... but this time with a reason for deactivation*

Dear Sir/Madam


I had given a letter before, requesting deactivation of the above mentioned account at your hutch shop, Byculla, Mumbai, on the 25th of July 2007. But unfortunately as of 4th Aug 2007 it still has not been disconnected. I had called up hutch to inquire and they replied: they need a reason for the deactivation, well… as far as I remember no one had asked me for a reason when they signed me up, but if you insist, then here is the reason for deactivation.


*“I DO NOT LIKE HUTCH”


*and if that’s not enough, u need more reason, then here you go…


*“I HATE HUTCH”


I hope this should be reason enough for you to deactivate my account, and if you still don’t, then my lawyer will take charge from here!

I can only hope that they will disconnect after this letter....  Hutch is a quagmire, your chances are only left to hopes.


Dear readers, pls guide me... do I have to mention a reason for deactivation, to have my account deactivated? And if I have forgotten so, then why did the hutch agent at the huch shop did not pull my attention to it, what was the reason for his silence? and thier backoffice staff who found my application to be incomplete, then was it not their duty to call me and inform me that I need to update my application with a reason mentioned in it? Or was it a deliberate attempt to save another one of their many departing customers?


I don't need to write too much about hutch... they have no pros & cons, they have only PROfessional  CONmen :).


I've read all the reviews written before me on moutshut.com, and I support them all, because I too have had similiar ugly experiences in the last 2 years.


And to name a few...


Seductive Marketing,


Lying Agents (They serve you sweet coated poisoned pills)


Deceptive Rules & Regulations (In fine print)


Long Waiting on the Helplines (And finally when you get thru, the outsourced BPO is of no help)


Sweet talking well dressed agents at the hutch shop who try to parent you (Treat you like a kid)


Un-coordinated Departments, (Billing department & Recovery Goondas)


Unwelcome calls from illegal marketing agencies (Hutch sells that info for the extra sidekick income)


Missed Calls, even though the phone is well in the coverage area (This is one of their major scams),


Unwelcome sms from hutch marketing & quality control,


Late SMS Delivery, (Now I know why, because their servers are busy sending marketing messages)


Expensive.... (But would not be if they would have provided quality products & service),


Obnoxious billing while roaming


And the list goes on and on.... but lets not forget the gestapo of orange


THE CHURN TEAM (The churn team is a terminology used within hutch itself, the team's job is not to let you escape, just like the mafia),


Do you know what churn means :) don't you? A churn is a vessel for making butter in which milk or cream is agitated in order to separate the oily globules from the watery medium


I guess they named it because they churn the cream out of you before you finally escape, no wonder the team is aptly named so!


Trust me and take my advice.
