I suggest some ppl here take some schooling to know what's happening around...

Who the hell says BPL is desi...? As far as I know, it's full form is British Physical Laboratories (BPL) and again BPL has a foreigner with it too.. And that's France Telecom. As far as the service is concerned, Orange is much better than BPL. there are mixed opinions on Who's better?? but the bottom line is both the operators are striving to keep customers happy.

The Orange network has now been superbly upgraded. If there are any week coverage areas, then this is true for all the other operators, It's practically impossible to cover every inch of earth with RF in a GSM setup in a city like Mumbai.

I also disagree to what some ppl have said about Orange following BPL's actions. They better go back to school and learn basics. Do they have any answers to the follwoing..?

  1. Who was the first to start cellular operations in Mumbai? MaxTouch(ORANGE)

  2. Who introduced Talkaton (free) numbers first? ORANGE

  3. Who introduced SMS for the first time in India? ORANGE

  4. Who introduced Dual IMSI cards first? ORANGE

  5. Who was the first to provide WAP? ORANGE

And GPRS? I can count the users on my fingers...!

As far as launch of tariff plans are concerned, both the operators have been doing so on the same day. Never know if it's Coincidence or a PreFix!
