I read these reviews about Orange being so very nice and good. It may be good for them coz they have not been taken for a ride by Orange. Remember the hoardings about SMS being only Rs. 1? Yes it is. But one fine print. Not all the SMS you send from your mobile are Rs. 1.
Please note: You are being billed Rs. 10 for SMS you send from your mobile to numbers that don’t happen to be of a mobile or yahoo messenger.
I received a billing of Rs 500 as SMS charges last month. I was surprised, that I sent so many SMS to whoever!!??? When I called up Orange and spoke to them, they tell me that I am being charged Rs. 10! WHY?
If your are sending a SMS to Yahoo, you need to send it to 8242. But if I get a message on my mobile, I just reply to them assuming it is from mobile. I am not a technical guy and I don’t know how all this work. How do I know the number I am replying an SMS to belong to a mobile or coming from a PC? And I get charged.
The worse part is that Orange does not intimate us about this. When I called to complain about it, I was told ‘Sorry’.
Hey guys, there are a thousands of people who are paying for your ‘Sorry’!!!
What do you think I should do? Change the service or be after them?
