I have been to Ooty recently with my entire family totally we ware 10 members, we haierd a tempo traveller from bangalore, and we heded towards Ooty from Mysore and bandipur forest, unfortunatly our vehical got break down for one whole day at pine forest where we had females also with is but being a foredt place we felt safe as locales their ware very nice with their vistors hospitalatiy, we felt very pleased and even that place of Ooty was our unforgatable place in Ooty, their u will get afordable villas which will be charged on per day baises, only if u enquir to the locals or to some polite taxi drivers insted visiting big big hotels. our jurney to konnur trough historical nilgiri mountain rail was awasoum its one hour journey from Ooty to konnur which is realy worth for a nature loving person to travel in this train. u have to catch early morning train from Ooty at 700 hrs sharp, if u miss then the next train is at 1200 hrs which is also worth but the climate at early morning will amaiz you. realy good place with nice people to visit.
