Naaptol is a cheat they sell defective goods
Oct 19, 2012 03:21 PM 1229 Views

I purchased a Blackberry Storm from Naaptol in Jan 2012 and within a few days I realized it was a faulty piece, due to time constraint and work pressure a few days went by before I could actually get down to calling Naaptol and lodging my complaint. I was then told by one of their agents that I had to take the piece to their workshop - Working in Mumbai as a full time employee covers 12 to 13 hours of one's day - which leaves one with no time to run around searching for workshops to get new items(as they so call it) repaired.

When I did get back to Naaptol I was again told to send the defective piece to their Andheri office but then again I was given half baked instructions which lost another few days and time. as in, I was told to send it by Blue-Dart at no extra cost to Naaptol Andheri office - I did so but the parcel came back returned as the address given was stamped as “Shifted” back again I called Naaptol and they gave me their new address at Delhi. Again a few days went by as I could not find time to even go personally to the blue dart office. Finally the parcel was in transit and I kept following up with Naaptol if they received the same and I requested a refund instead if a replacement but I was told that I would be given a replacement and not a refund.  All said and done. I received the replaced piece in August this piece worked for a month although not 100% .

However, I could not go through the process of running around Naaptol with my complaint again so I ignored the small defects(like a shaking touch screen) I used it half through the next month when All of a sudden the Screen just went blank and stopped functioning altogether.  I called Naaptol and I was told to take my Blackberry to the nearest blackberry store along with the invoice copy and they would do it up for me at no extra cost. I managed to squeeze in time to do that as well.

When I showed the piece to the blackberry store they refused to even touch it saying the model has been discontinued and they cannot repair it. Back again I called Naaptol and the final verdict from Mr. Saddam Batwari holding the position as the Highest point of escalation as informed by him to me. Was  “ Madam, your  phone is now out of warranty and we cannot take your request or complaint” That ends the story from their side and leaves me with a white elephant and Rs. 9200/- down the drain. If Naaptol is selling defective pieces then they should call themselves “DEFECTALL”and not “NAAPTOL”
