Its a 5 year old Ac with couple of shifts. All done by local Guys and I believe this is first major problem I got this season which cant be taken care by Local technical. AC stops after 3 hours and it doesn't start immediately. It only starts the next day.
Called service Onida service center 15 days back and no one visited after frequent calls. They do give some alternate number to my wife and no one seems to pick up or respond. Today I called after almost 30 mins of waiting on call center and inquired about status of complaint number, a false assurance of forwarding to someone. I believe they are shutting down. Once this was my favorite brand as I have 2 AC, and 2 televisions bought in past. Currently they are not able to sustain in competition. I also had an exp with Onida LCD where they unofficially offered me to replace firmware due to some weird problems happening with colors of the TV. Their service operation is failing and internal staff is eating up revenues so even if you get good deal, stay away.
I had an earlier experience with another Onida AC where my wife accidentally broke the air vent while regular cleaning of the walls. That was not available with Onida and had to get it with Rs 1200, yes Rs 1200 from scrap vendor. It obviously due to Chinese import of almost everything and unable to keep track of spare inventories. Now a days this practice is everywhere but I do believe that companies should keep at least one or two models consistent so that some customer not wanting style can choose those models and be assured or service quality and spare parts availability within-lesser time and cost.
