Hi this is my 2nd rvw so fa.

I have this habit of analysing thoroughly all the available products in the market before buying shortlisted one, so much so that all the shopkeepers start to recognise my face the moment I enter shop. & why not?? we r the one who will be paying the prise! in that case we are the one who could become the ''Bakra''. (if choice fails, right?).

well, too many brands to choose from & too much technoligical specs. to understand when u actually go in a market to buy a DVD. I didnt want to make a PhD on DVD so I thought my primary requirement is to see my SHAADI KA VIDEO, & play DVD Movies & MP3s.

Play it safe guys. DVD has to have 5.1 Channel compatible & should play maximum types of formats. Like DVD, Jpg, CDR, CDRW, MP3, all these are comman formats. if you go for 2.1 channel DVD the prise difference is hardly anything say about 300 - 400 Rs. So I gone through nearly all (Mitashi, Godrej, Videocon Included) DVDs. The primary concern is Brand & aftersales service (If need be). To play it safe I chose ONIDA DFX 7100, I thought it has got it all. Here u can bargain on MRP also I got it for few hundred less on MRP.

The Onida DFX 7100 is a good DVD player, using since 1 year with no problem at all. plays scratched discs as told on a carton. DVD quality is like watching a movie in a theatre. Its easy to operate (my 6 yr kid operates it smoothly).

Now some cons: It plays most of the formats but not all of the formats. If you are a computer 'download geek' it may show thumb down. Like it dosent recognise MPEG the very common format and few other formats as well. so at times I feel let down. & think of 'kaash, I should have known this fact & opt for other brand. not a problem. In fact, as far as it plays my shaadi ka video, I don't have to go for any other brand!!
